Walking Away

When it's dark

And you're alone

You wonder how you walked so far

Now you have

To go home

The walk is longer then you are

If you hadn't

Walked so far

You'd be at home asleep in bed

But then you turned away

You can't turn back it's not the right time

Sometimes you think that things will always be this way

But then someone comes and takes it all away

So you walk through the night

Holding tight to things in your heart  

You keep walking on and on

And soon everyone else is gone

And here you are

It's another day
And you're done
You shouldn't have taken a road too long
Now it's time
To think wise
A dreary moment which you despise
To hold your head
Now it's light
If you hadn't walked away in fight
You would not be so far away
Now you've got to turn back the other way
